Saw this recent video with Marcelo Garcia that just altered my BJJ game slightly.

I found it fascinating how Garcia explained a few key concepts that even experienced BJJ players often miss, or for that matter concepts I miss when I am rolling and training BJJ. The first concept being 'Always attack', or in other words best defense is an offense, this is key in that your opponent will always be mindful of getting attacked. The second concept being allowing your opponent to work his game, so you can practice both defending and reacting with your opponent as well as being open-minded to see what each person works in their grappling game. This second concept reminds of a saying (paraphrased) by Eddie Bravo in which he said if you are not tapping you are not making progress.

Looks like Spain won this years World Cup and I didn't bother going to watch it seeing as I have nothing invested in either of those teams and it was shown at 230 am here in Taipei-let's go USA in 4 years. And in MMA news Shinya Aoki won by heal hook this past weekend-congrats to him but the only way this guy will ever be a top contender is when he hits the boxing gym and starts learning how to stand and throw his hands as well as defend himself from other throwing their hands at him (this is based on evidence from his loss to Milendez).

Well it's going to be boring for the next few weeks MMA news-wise, so I'm only gonna post stuff about myself
